Yes. Sensium Pool Vehicle Booking has an app-only mode that works without any hardware install — staff make, start, and end bookings from the app via Driver Connect. Installing TRACKbox enables additional features on the vehicle side: remote locking/unlocking, battery monitoring, vehicle status, RFID/keyless entry. Sensium Electronic Key Cabinets also slot in independently of TRACKbox for booking-governed physical key release on any vehicle.

Yes — owned or leased. If you choose the app-only version there is no hardware to install. If you opt for the full feature set (TRACKbox + optional keyless module), all hardware can be removed cleanly when you swap or sell the vehicle.

Any shared vehicle: lawn mowers, yellow plant, buses, jet skis, trucks, agricultural equipment. If it gets shared between staff, the booking system can manage it.

Yes. No part of the software transmits data outside of Australia. Data is stored only on servers in Sydney. We strongly recommend interrogating the data-residency claims of competing suppliers — some use product add-ons that cannot fully satisfy residency requirements.

When a driver requests a vehicle through Driver Connect, AI Auto-Select evaluates real-time fleet data and allocates the best match based on availability, capacity and asset class, utilisation balancing, engine type, odometer, lease restrictions, cost centre, and the vehicle type required. The fleet manager sets the rules; the system applies them consistently on every booking.

Yes. Bookings that fit standard operating procedure can be approved automatically, while bookings that need special permission — such as overnight use — can require fleet manager approval. You can also restrict drivers to the fleets they are authorised for, so someone not qualified to drive a particular vehicle class is blocked from booking it.

Yes. Vehicles can be split into different fleets and restricted to specific cost centres, and the booking system is cost-centre aware so usage can be allocated accordingly. This suits councils, government, and enterprise environments where multiple departments share a vehicle pool and need auditable, fair allocation.
