A Driver ID module is installed in the vehicle to identify and authenticate the driver before the vehicle is used. It uses RFID staff cards or fobs to log each driver and link their activity to a unique ID. Plug & Play to the TRACKbox TB2.

RFID-based identification using staff ID cards (most standard staff cards work — check with us) or Sensium-supplied fobs. We support both depending on what your organisation already issues to staff.

Every trip is linked to a specific driver. Drivers know their actions are tracked, which encourages more responsible behaviour and reduces vehicle misuse. In the event of an incident, the system provides clear data for investigations and insurance claims.

GPS tracking tells you which vehicle moved. Driver ID tells you who was driving the vehicle when it moved. The two together give you Chain of Responsibility evidence — critical for compliance with corporate, regulatory, and safety obligations.

The Disable Module is a hardware-based kill switch — it prevents the vehicle starter from operating until re-enabled from Sensium Connect or via the API. When paired with TRACKbox, it uses an encrypted two-way connection with acknowledgement to ensure the command was received and actioned.

Yes — any shared vehicle. Cars, lawn mowers, yellow plant, buses, jet skis, trucks, agricultural equipment. If a vehicle has a TRACKbox TB2 installed, it can take the Driver ID module.

Plug & Play installation onto an existing TRACKbox TB2. Professional install recommended for the card reader placement and any wiring routing. Minimal maintenance — occasional software updates and visual checks.

In most cases, yes. Driver ID is RFID-based and works with most standard staff ID cards, so drivers can use the card they already carry — check with us on your specific card type. Where staff cards are not suitable, Sensium can supply fobs instead.

Yes. Because every trip is linked to a specific driver, the system provides clear evidence of who was driving when an incident occurred. Combined with TRACKbox telemetry, that gives a forensic record for investigations, insurance claims, and Chain of Responsibility obligations.

Driver ID attribution feeds into the same Sensium Connect reports as every other telemetry source. Sensium Connect is hosted on Google Cloud Australian infrastructure, with all customer data - Australian and New Zealand - on Australian servers, encrypted in transit and at rest.
