A delivery driver pulls up at a customer address, signs the paperwork, and leaves in two minutes. At 2-minute polling, the GPS records that the vehicle was in the area but not the actual arrival or departure timing - critical for last-mile billing, delivery proof, and dispute resolution. At 1-second polling, the events are captured precisely.

Position is recorded continuously on the device and delivered over the 4G LTE connection using a store-and-forward design, so if a vehicle drops out of coverage the high-resolution path is recorded locally and uploaded once it reconnects - the detail is not lost.
