From September 2024, Sensium’s AI will be able to allocate vehicle based on utilisation. That means the system will automatically allocate vehicles after analysing a number of factors and determining which vehicle should be used. Factors include (but are not limited to) engine type, odometer, lease restrictions, asset field, last driven, cost centre/fleet. This method of vehicle allocation will reduce fleet costs and spread usage across vehicles.

Sensium’s Pool Vehicle Booking software can allocate the “right” vehicle for the job. If you need a ute, or a tow bar, or room for 5 passengers, the software will book just the right vehicle, spreading the load across the fleet and making utilisation more efficient.

Split your vehicles up into different fleets and make them available to specific cost centres, restricting who uses the vehicles.

If you use a vehicle on Tuesdays between 10am and 11am, you won’t have to enter a new booking each time. The recurring booking feature (coming June 2024) will allow you book once and let it recur as required.

If you’re obliged to track which passenger is in which vehicle, you can do that with Sensium’s pool vehicle booking system. And we keep the data archived, so you’ll be able to access it into the future.

From July 2024 you’ll be able to ensure drivers only have access to specific fleets. If someone doesn’t have authority to drive forklifts, you can block their access.

Sensium’s pool car booking system allows you to choose how you’d like your staff to access the vehicles. If you’d like an “app-only” system where staff keep using keys, no problem! If you’d like to install hardware, the system can be set up, so staff access the vehicle by swiping their ID card, or fob on a card reader. This keyless entry method allows you track and manage who’s accessing which car.

Managing keys is one of the hardest parts of running a fleet. You can secure your keys in one safe place with a Key Watcher key cabinet or leave them in the vehicle and access with a keyless entry method. Combine bookings with a Key Watcher key cabinet and guarantee the right driver uses the right car every time.

Some fleet managers prefer to have drivers access vehicles using their ID cards or fobs. When the card reader is swiped it starts the booking, unlocks the vehicle and alerts the fleet manager that the driver has taken control of the vehicle.

Bookings that fall into the standard operating procedure can be approved automatically. Bookings that require special permission, such as taking a car overnight, can (from August 2024) be made to require fleet manager approval.

Fleet managers need to know critical vehicle indicators, such as battery state of charge and fuel level. Combined with a Sensium TRACKbox installed in a car, the fleet manager can have instant oversight of the vehicle, including if it is locked/unlocked at the end of the day.
